Hello, and welcome, I’m Laura Chase.  I am a documentary photographer with a passion for art, storytelling, spontaneity and above all, jubilant living!

Prior to launching Laura Chase de Formigny Photography in 2012, I was a staff photographer at the Capital Gazette, Annapolis’s daily newspaper.  I fell in love with photojournalism and the power of visual storytelling during my time at the Charlotte Observer and Chattanooga Free Press.  I hold a B.A in Studio Art from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  My life and camera have taken me from my hometown of Bethesda, to Chapel Hill, Baltimore, Belgium, Italy, France and now back to Maryland where I plan to stay a while in Silver Spring with my cutie pie French husband and adorable son, Henry!
